As all of you know, we will be celebrating SHIV RATHRI on Feb 12th (Friday). We are certain that you know about Shiv Rathri but for our young devotees we want to provide brief description.
 
It is believed that Shiv Rathri is the day when LORD SHIVA married MATA PARVATI. It is also the night LORD SHIVA danced "TANDAVA" nrityam, the dance of the primal creation, preservation and destruction. Also according to Linga Purana, this is the day LORD SHIVA manifested Himself in the form of LINGAM.
 
For all these reasons, Shiv Rathri is considered one of the most auspicious days by all Hindus and is celebrated from the morning of this day until the sun raise of the next morning. Your Temple also has arranged a full program and the Temple will be open from 10 AM on 12th and all day and all night. So, please take this opportunity and celebrate this festival at our Temple.

Shiva Rathri Celebration (Temple is open all day until midnight):

10.00 AM                    Suprabhatam
 10.30 AM                   Nitya Puja for all deities
 11.00 AM                   Shiva Abhishekam
12.30 PM                    onwards Archana for lord Shiva done every half hour throughout the day
                                        until 6.00 PM in the evening.
 12.30 PM                   onwards all devotees will be able to perform personal Abhishekam for
                                        Lord Shiva by themselves through out the day.
 6.00 PM                    Kalash Puja (Maha Kumbha Puja)
 7.00 PM                    Rudra Abhishekam for Lord Shiva
 8.00 – 8.30 PM     Alankaram & Bhajans
 8.30 PM                   Special Archana for Lord Shiva
 9.00 PM                   Dance, Bhajans & Songs by devotees
9.30 PM                     Lingashtakam, Bilwashtakam, Viswanathashtakam
10.00 PM                  Shiva Parvathi Kalyanam
11.00 PM                  Bhajans
12.00 AM                  Lingodbhavam, Bhog & Vishesha Arati

Shiva Rathri for Kids:

Special cartoon movie on Lord Shiva in the community center for kids.

Volunteers can make food for kids and adults who are not fasting.

By the way, the puja committee wants to request your input as to what other pujas you like to be included in our Temple's monthly sheduled pujas and ceremonies. If there is interest from the community, we will add the requested pujas. So, please provide your requests to any board member or send thru the Temple website.
